Location415 Celebrity Event Planning is where night life begins.  Our goal is to provide the BEST Night Life Entertainment the world has to offer. Our base is out of San Francisco, & the greater Bay Area. We bring a versatile genre of music along with a diverse crowd. We have grown to become one of the hottest event planning companies in the Bay Area.

Students seeking practical business experience

Duties:

  • Assist staff with correspondence

  • Perform administrative tasks

  • Assist with planning of and attend events and meetings

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel)

  • At least 10 hours a week desired

  • Good written and verbal skills

The State Chamber reimburses parking for interns.

Communications - Editorial
The Communications Department runs Location415.com's Web site and e-mail newsletters, and handles all media and public relations work for the. Interns will support these duties.

Open to:
Juniors or seniors seeking practical communications and publishing experience.

Duties:

  • Writing articles, news digests and press releases

  • Copyediting and proofreading

  • Media contact work

  • Reviewing databases and spreadsheets for errors/troubleshooting e-mail addresses (Basic familiarity with e-mail and Internet are the only requirements. This is not a technical position.)

  • Clipping/clerical work as needed

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs

  • Demonstrated clips/press releases/communications experience

  • Published clips are a plus

  • 10 hours a week availability

  • Good verbal and written skills, good interpersonal skills

Communications - Print and Web Design
The Communications Department runs Location415.com's Web site and e-mail newsletters, and handles all media and public relations work for the Chamber. Interns will design print and online materials to support these efforts.

Open to:
Juniors or seniors seeking practical design experience

Duties:

  • Brainstorms design concepts for print and/or Web projects

  • Provides thumbnails and templates for printed and/or Web materials

  • Adapts printed materials to the Web and vice versa

  • Processes pictures and illustrations for use

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Quark and Adobe imaging programs

  • Examples of projects or class work

  • 10-15 hours a week availability

  • Good verbal and written skills, good interpersonal skills

Communications - Public Relations
Location415.com works with businesses, government agencies and various organizations to promote business interests and foster a competitive business environment. Interns will support these duties.

Juniors or seniors seeking practical business/technical communications experience

Duties:

  • Writing business correspondence, marketing materials and press releases

Event Planning & Management
The Events Department organizes and implements close to 50 events per year, ranging from small networking events that attract 15-20 people to Concerts with an attendance of more than 800 people. Interns will help support this department and its functions.

Juniors or seniors seeking event planning and conference experience.

Duties:

·         Assisting in event planning and coordination

  • Assisting Events Manager at events

  • Tracking event info and entering info about upcoming events on master calendar.

  • Data entry

  • Working with event vendors and attendees via telephone and in person

  • Customer service

  • Clerical work as needed

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment

  • At least 10 hours a week availability

  • Good verbal and written skills, good interpersonal skills

Street Team Promotions

The Street Team Promotions Department promotes strategies & promotes different events.

Open to:

Freshman-Seniors

Duties:

  • Promote Events on college campuses

  • Promote Events at Nightclubs & Bars

  • Promote Events & different Sporting Events

  • Promote Events at Concerts
